In Visual Form (”IVF”) is an Adobe Honolulu Hawaii Community User Group which promotes, educates, and fosters the development of Advanced Data Visualization Applications.
Simply put, if you are interested in 3D or 2D temporal/spatial data, data services, interactive animated content, video streaming, and collaborative environments then chances are IVF is already talking about technologies you are interested in.
The IVF website provides upcoming events, our contact and location information, membership registration, roster of organizers, sponsor, and our Vision. If you are interested in becoming an IVF member, please review our Vision and Mission Statement and then complete our membership registration form to participate in other popular IVF events (see Upcoming Events). This is not required, however, you are welcome to use this site as well to network with many many other Adobe users.
By joining you will gain access to materials, resources, advice, and discounts on some of your favorite software by Adobe. While taking advantage of resources, advice, and training to help you on your way to making some of the finest visualization products, we hope you will help us contribute to our community.
The focus of the IVF is to improve members understanding of solutions which use Adobe Flash, Flex, and Air as well as the relationship between other visual and information technology (including After Effects, Acrobat 3D, CS3, as well as, open source, GIS, and other Data Service Technology ). IVF meetings are open to all who would like to attend to discuss, learn, or share technology advances which happen to leverage Adobe software.
IVF meetings are posted on this website which are scheduled on the last Wednesday of the Month from 6 to 7 pm, unless it’s a “Big Wednesday” which are meetings scheduled as canceled. Member only meetings will be scheduled as the need arises to elect officers or to conduct IVF member functions. Additionally, minutes of meetings and decisions by a Board of Directors to share some of the group management duties are appended to past meeting events already posted to this website.
IVF members are kept current through our mailing list and notified of upcoming meetings, via our website registration.
IVF members come from a wide range of backgrounds and disciplines. As such, we will engage a diversity of speakers which address new perspectives, broad general interest topics, and more in-depth knowledge that IVF members crave. Additionally, IVF participates in other orgainziations conferences and seminars providing high level training and information about the IVF, promoting the use of Adobe Technologies and Adobe promoted technologies.
Dues will be collected on a volunteer basis and is intended to cover the cost for minor budgetary items, such as the costs of refreshments served, room rental fees, snacks, advertising, and the travel expenses of speakers.
Become a Sponsor. Company Sponsorships are encouraged to help generate money to pay for expenses by offering to sponsor IVF meetings. In return for such a sponsorship, the sponsoring company is introduced and briefly discussed in the opening minutes. Additionally, the opportunity to display brand names or logos are provided to the sponsoring company (posters, t-shirts, stickers, and handouts). Services, products, or meeting space can also be donated.
